The trabucco fascinates anyone who sees it. It’s an ancient wooden construction that stretches towards the sea, once used for fishing. In Peschici in 1975, an old trabucco became home to a place taking its name from then-owner Mimì, grandfather of current owners, twins Vincenzo and Domenico Ottaviano. Since 2018 the restaurant also hosts a cocktail bar under the guidance of bar manager Ilario Capraro. People come to this unique and fascinating ambiance to enjoy some great classics – some of them long forgotten – and signature cocktails perfect for happy hour and after dinner. The preparations see local Gargano ingredients as their undisputed stars: chili peppers, aromatic herbs, almonds, figs, and pomegranate are often the base for homemade elements like syrups. The drink list features almost all kinds of spirits – even local gin – but the spotlight shines on tequila, mezcal, rum, and vermouth. The restaurant and cocktail bar are two distinct areas, but the former, too, offers a small selection of classic drinks.

Moreover, there’s always the option to order a tailormade drink, maybe pairing with a specific dish. Ilario’s favorite? Americano with lemon zest.
