Research in the suburbs
"Rude" in Italian means rough, harsh, and edgy – but it is also the acronym for Rumors Deleted, no gossip. That's where Cristian Ricci and Marco Zampilli started again from the Roman suburbs of the Centocelle district in late 2018 to write a new chapter of cocktail mixing in Rome. This street bar spreads on ninety square meters and can boast a Nordic style, full of steel and cold lights. The business partners and the waiters all double as bartenders, serving cocktails at the counter, the tables, or in the alfresco area: drinks that combine research and fast execution. The work on creating homemade ingredients – like cordials and infusions – is the necessary base for the birth of signatures revolving around all kinds of spirits, with whisky, gin, and rum taking center stage. A dedicated section of the menu will fulfill the desires of those who want alcohol-free drinks. A list of 500 choices divided into categories caters to those who wish to taste spirits in purity: grappa and amaros, through vodka and mezcal. Rude's welcoming ambiance and hospitality make it a home away from home for everyone.
