A leap into history
In Rome's Portuense district, just a few meters from Piazza della Radio, the Coticoni family leads a bistro and cocktail bar open from morning until nighttime, quickly becoming a reference point for locals and more. Städlin is the surname of the Swiss tycoon who in 1885 built a mill and a bakery here, and the history of the industrial spaces that still keep the original brick arches is all to admire. Bar manager Daniele Arciello leads the cocktail mixing team. In composing the drink list, he paid particular attention to the alcohol content and the ingredients' full use. The cocktails are exclusively signatures, seasonal, and mixed using fruit, little alcohol, little sugar (or honey), and spices. Collins and Sours dominate the menu, but there's also space for cocktails with higher alcohol content if requested. Leftover herbs and citrus become respectively infusions and oils. Plastic is banned for an environmental choice and, if you wish, you can get advice on the best dish-cocktail pairing from the staff.
