The Naples of the past and its records. These two themes underpin the concept of this cocktail bar located in the Vomero district of the Campania capital. Bar manager Mirko Lamagna draws inspiration from 18th-century Naples—also evoked in the rooms dedicated to the five kings of Bourbon-Two Sicilies—to create his new recipes. While a nod to the past is necessary for the choice of ingredients, the cocktails—also created by Francesco Fontanella—also incorporate modern mixing techniques, involving the preparation of liqueurs, syrups, and redistillates in a dedicated laboratory. The results are primarily twists on classics, like a Bloody Mary with a touch of coffee or the Mistero di Donna Romita, a tasting of three Martinis dedicated to the three daughters of Baron Toraldo: Donnalbina, Donna Romita, and Donna Regina. The menu also features forgotten classics, such as the Sazerac, Vieux Carré, and the lesser-known Avanvera and Inventina.
