[:en]The Mix Contest Italy Tour Taormina stage ended on the evening of Monday 27 August 2018 with three winners, two of whom will directly access the national final scheduled for 2019.
In the extraordinary setting of the NH Collection Taormina, 10 bartenders battled it out with cocktails, creating, for the public present and for the technical jury, a pre-dinner (an aperitif cocktail) and an after-dinner (a after dinner), strictly unpublished.
The competing venues, represented by their bartenders, were:
- Morgana Lounge Bar with Christian Sciglio
- NH Collection Taormina with Giuseppe Giardina
- Fud Off with Domenico Cosentino
- Bohemian with Salvatore Longo
- Bocum Palermo with Gianluca Di Giorgio
- Mazzini 30 Tavern with Flavio Giamporcaro
- Barz8 with Mariana Melillo
- Lefty by Klax with Alessandro D'Aloia
- Highlander Pub Piazza Armerina with Riccardo and Emilio Scroppo
- Verga Courtyard with Giulio Seggi
On the Terrace of the NH Collection Taormina, the bartenders created the cocktails under the gaze of the public (around 200 people) and submitted their creations to a technical jury made up of industry experts. The partners of the evening, Compagnia dei Caribbean, Schweppes and Giardini d'Amore provided the ingredients for the creation of the cocktails, while NH Hotels, the main hotel chain partner of the Tour, made available, as for each date, a location extraordinary.
The winners of the Taormina stage are:
- Highlander Pub Piazza Armerina with Emilio Scroppo and Riccardo Scroppo
- Fud Off with Domenico Cosentino
- Bocum Palermo with Gianluca Di Giorgio
The top two classified will directly access the national final scheduled for 2019.
