Inside the 17th-century, noble Villa Sassi, on the hills above Turin, a modern American bar with a kitchen opened in 2021. In the blue-green dining room, with soft lighting and golden lines, on the terrace and in the summer garden, cocktails by head bartender Roberto Palestini are served. The menu features signature cocktails made with international spirits, vermouth, sparkling wines, and, for non-alcoholic drinks, products designed for those who love the taste of spirits but cannot consume alcohol by choice or inability. Homemade syrups, liqueurs, and mousses round out the recipes, and, whenever possible, botanicals and fruits from the 22-hectare centuries-old park, such as meadowsweet, sorrel, white garlic, magnolia, fir, oak, persimmon, pomegranate, lemon, and apricot. Drinks can also be enjoyed paired with dishes—for those who want to try this combination, the tasting menus are recommended—or in a secret room, where, on comfortable Chesterfield sofas, in an atmosphere reminiscent of Prohibition, you can also appreciate the impressive selection of limited-edition whiskies from around the world and gin, of which there are approximately 50 labels.
