Sustainability first
In Milan's Porta Venezia neighborhood, there's a warm and welcoming venue with hand-frescoed ceilings reminiscent of the Futurist era. It has two souls: a restaurant serving contemporary cuisine, inspired by international gastronomic traditions, and a cocktail bar, Disco Malinconia, offering contemporary mixology with informal and friendly service. The two offerings interact seamlessly: while the bar staff recommends which alcoholic bases to use in tapas and dishes, the kitchen team helps bar manager Alessia Bellafante create garnishes and homemade cocktails. The menu's signature drinks are the result of research that, while involving the use of techniques such as sous vide cooking, infusions, and fermentations, is not ostentatious on the menu, as the final flavors are simple and recognizable. Inside the cocktail bar, there's plenty of space for music—the name Disco Malinconia is no coincidence—and for tailor-made events, which can be organized in a secret room, where you can also experiment with food and cocktail pairings.
