Far from the chaos

On the hills of Florence, just outside the historic center and within a centuries-old park overlooking the Boboli Gardens, stands Villa Cora: a late-19th-century aristocratic residence offering a unique view of the entire city. Since 2021, the Italian garden and former cigar room of the residence, now a 5-star hotel, have been open to guests, offering drinks created by general bar manager Simone Covan and bar manager Devid Tavero. From April to October, guests can sit poolside, surrounded by rose bushes, orange trees, and fir trees, ordering signature drinks featuring—directly or indirectly—flowers and botanicals from the garden and bestsellers from the Santa Cocktail Club. During the other months of the year, guests head to the lounge, a small speakeasy distinguished by its classic style, bas-reliefs, and green and gold velvet sofas. Here, the drinks list pays homage to the warm tones of spirits, particularly rum and whiskey, showcased in their pure form, in sophisticated cigar-inspired signature drinks, and in classic international mixology. The welcoming and convivial atmosphere invites you to relax in this space until late at night, far from the chaos of Florence.
