Fifty Italian Spirit

In Pagani, in the province of Salerno, Alfonso Califano and Natale Palmieri have made a dream come true: a venue open from early morning until late at night, like a 1950s sports bar, but reimagined with a contemporary twist. Bar manager Matteo Pocai and his assistant Emanuele Primavera offer a mixology that draws heavily on classics, here served in a revisited or authentic version, as in the case of forgotten or super-premium brands, but also on experimentation, with signature drinks created from scratch and non-alcoholic, made with dealcoholized bases. Gin and whiskey occupy a prominent place on the menu, while tequila, mezcal, and vermouth are also increasingly popular. Each cocktail always features three or four ingredients, and there couldn't be a better way to explain a minimalist mixology.
