In the splendid Villa Igiea, just steps from the port and the sea, since 2021, the drinks menu at the 5*L Rocco Forte Hotels, opened here in 1900 by the Florio family, has been curated by expert bartender Salvatore Calabrese. In the vaulted sandstone room with 1950s frescoes by Sicilian artist Nino Morici, and on the romantic terrace overlooking the gulf, one of the most exclusive in Palermo, you can sample the "Maestro's" classics, including the Breakfast Martini, the Negroni Svegliato, and the Spicy Fifty, as well as signature drinks prepared by head bartender Nicola Loiacono, under the supervision of bar manager Luca Tramontana. Behind the two bars, one of which is protected by the Fine Arts Council, drinks are created, most often inspired by a local theme, which changes once a year. The mixology adheres to Calabrese's principles, using few, high-quality ingredients for a result that is understandable, fresh, seasonal, international, and always in step with the times. In the glass, the focus is often on single-origin products, the result of a choice that always prioritizes showcasing the raw ingredients. The drinks can also be enjoyed at the Florio Restaurant.
