In December 2023, the bar opened by Cristian Ricci and Marco Zampilli in Centocelle, a suburb of Rome, turns five. Rude stands for Rumors Deleted, because the two partners' goal from the very beginning was to shift the focus from the research behind the bar to the desires of the customer. For this very reason, in the Nordic atmosphere, characterized by cool lighting and a predominance of steel in the furnishings, the staff—which also includes bartender Lorenzo Sivi—returns to focusing on classics, even lesser-known ones, which are the foundation of essential mixology. And, above all, which cannot be forgotten in favor of innovation alone. The cocktails are designed primarily to showcase the spirits, the beating heart of iconic international mixology. Consequently, the alcoholic bases offered here—whiskey, gin, and rum are the most popular—respect a high-quality standard. On the menu, it is always possible to choose low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, made with homemade preparations or dealcoholized spirits.
