Between the Basilica of St. John Lateran and the Colosseum, Joy Napolitano owns a speakeasy inspired by the Prohibition era, both in its décor and atmosphere. Head bartender Pasquale Viscito, supported by bartenders Tommaso Di Spirito and Federico Caussero, offers a deep-rooted selection of international mixology classics from every era, from the 1930s to contemporary Naked and Famous and Pornstar Martinis. The drinks list features authentic recipes from global icons and revisited versions, such as the Old Fashioned with maple syrup and bitters, as well as classics from The Barber Shop, renamed Evergreen here, including Joy's Il Poeta. Special attention is paid to the Brooklyn and Manhattan, always featured on the menu with different twists. Homemade cocktails are created in a laboratory located upstairs, where a 1920s barbershop once stood, with the typical chairs and other characteristic details still remaining. Access is gained after ringing the bell and signing a membership card.
