There's a date, 1933, that marked the end of Prohibition. However, that's not the case at Cristian Pellegrino's Lecce cocktail bar, whose goal is to transport people back to that era. While the decor is reminiscent of a speakeasy—with its vintage style, wood, and especially the low lighting—the drinks by bar manager Davide De Francesco and bartender Cesario Orsini showcase three spirits in particular: mezcal, whiskey, and cognac. You can choose from classics from that historical period, both respected and reinterpreted, as well as innovative drinks, featuring homemade creations that showcase the quality of the ingredients used. The latest addition is absinthe, served with the traditional fountain, "à la ancienne."
