Veloce, come l’associazione fondata nel 1909 che anni dopo avrebbe preso il nome di Touring Club Italiano, che qui aveva sede ed è ancora presente sotto forma di oggetti presi in prestito dall’archivio storico, come velocipedi, quadri e pubblicità d’epoca. Questo cocktail bar, ospitato negli spazi del Radisson Collection Hotel, si trova nel centro meneghino, tra le colonne di San Lorenzo e il Duomo di Milano. L’apertura risale a dicembre 2021 e si colloca al piano terra dell’albergo, nelle sale interne e nel giardino che un tempo appartenevano al bistrot. La proposta di miscelazione del bar manager Franco Tucci Ponti si sviluppa in una carta composta da una selezione di twist on classic, che prevede l’utilizzo di 3-4 ingredienti per creazione, per un risultato che strizza l’occhio al mondo tiki ma anche alla contemporaneità. Si miscelano ananas, bergamotto, mango e shiso, tra gli altri, per alleggerire e aggiungere un tocco di colore a drink d’altri tempi, sia pre-proibizionisti che caraibici. Negli ambienti del bistrot, si possono invece assaggiare cocktail meno sperimentali, ideali per la clientela che vuole vivere l’autentica esperienza dell'aperitivo milanese.

Veloce means "fast" – like the association born in 1909 that years later would take the name of Touring Club Italiano, which had its seat here. Its presence is still strong here, in the shape of objects borrowed from the archive like velocipedes, paintings, and vintage advertisements. The cocktail bar stands in the spaces of the Radisson Collection Hotel, in the center of Milan between Colonne di San Lorenzo and the Duomo of Milan. Veloce opened in December 2021 on the hotel's ground floor, occupying the interior spaces and garden that once belonged to the bistro. Bar manager Francesco Tucci Ponti's cocktail offering creates a menu composed of a selection of twists on classics using just 3-4 ingredients for every drink. The result is a nod to the tiki world and contemporary era. Pineapple, bergamot, mango, and shiso – to name a few – mix to give lightness and a touch of color to vintage drinks from the pre-Prohibition era or the Caribbeans. The bistro offers less experimental cocktails, perfect for clients who want to experience the authentic Milanese aperitivo.
