It's in the small town of Piazza Armerina, in the province of Enna, that three brothers, Riccardo, Emilio, and Davide Scroppo, and their parents Angela and Giacomo, have decided to make their home. This pub, adorned with memorabilia on the walls, seats 260 people, including the indoor dining room, outdoor terrace, and summer terrace, a godsend for the town's 20,000 residents, who know they can always enjoy themselves here, in the heart of Sicily. The drinks feature medicinal herbs from the property's garden, such as calamint, marjoram, and the more common rosemary, oregano, and sage, along with the family's apricots, figs, and mulberries, and finally, local fruit, including tropical varieties recently imported to the island, such as passion fruit and mango. The menu, also the work of Kevin Gagliano, features signature drinks like the highball, as well as lesser-known classics like the Rob Roy, but behind the bar, drinks are often tailored to the patrons' tastes. The winery boasts around 700 labels, many of which are local, and maximum attention is paid to reducing waste.
