This cocktail bar and restaurant opened in 2018, in Rome's central Flaminio neighborhood, along the Tiber River and facing the Ponte della Musica. Owners Roberto Rabaglino and Carlo and Roberto Annessi's goal was to create a hub for mixology, catering to an international clientele. The name evokes the "city dweller" seeking a respite from the chaos, a casual and refined lounge where they can spend time to the fullest. The New York-style spaces span two floors: on the lower level, large, comfortable sofas and brass counters surrounded by high chairs create the feel of a lounge bar; upstairs, a more intimate atmosphere reigns, with tables, padded chairs, and soft lighting. At the center of the scene is a large curved bar, behind which the bartenders Alessandro Pezzola and Giacomo Tognoni create signature drinks, mindful of sustainability and low alcohol content. The menu never lacks bestsellers, starting with the Bonsai: a sour with shiso leaf-infused gin, sugar, yuzu juice, and a vegan foamer instead of egg whites. A lovely outdoor seating area completes the experience.
