Description

In Taormina, in the province of Messina, Christian Sciglio and Guido Spinello have created a safe haven for locals from April to December. In the spacious indoor and outdoor spaces, this year adorned respectively with Indian-style wallpaper and animal and floral paintings reminiscent of a Palermo garden, cocktails by bar manager Stefano Giummarra and head bartender Dario Ponticello are served. The mixology revolves around simple ingredients, combined to create mostly low-alcohol and light drinks. Alcoholic bases range from cachaça and vodka, to gin and rum, to local products, such as a spirit made from Sicilian agave and botanicals, including the local Verdello lemon, or a Taormina bitter with Salina capers.
