[:en]Mix Contest is, to put it in a nutshell, a competition between cocktail bars, each of which is represented by its own bartender or barlady of reference. But now let's tell you something more.
Mix Contest is
Engaging: the competing bartenders challenge each other in their art, that is, the preparation of cocktails. Unlike most contests of this type, however, tasting the drinks and casting their votes will not be just a technical jury but all the participants in the event. The votes, at the end of the evening, will be added up and will decree the winner of each stage who will automatically access the national final.
Cultural: the aim of Mix Contest Italy Tour is, first of all, to promote the idea of “drinking well”. Gone are the days when cocktails were simply cheap products mixed together, the art of mixology has exploded with its load of great references, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, study, creativity and desire to innovate.
Interactive: because the cocktails prepared by the bartenders are tasted and judged by the evening's audience and by a technical jury.
Itinerant: to elect the best cocktail bar in Italy you have to travel around Italy. For this Mix Contest, for the second year, it will move to the main cities of the Peninsula, choosing the protagonists of the challenge from time to time.
Plastic Free: in our own small way, we also want to do our part to fight the scourge of plastic, which is increasingly serious for our planet. For this reason, Mix Contest Italy Tour will be a completely plastic free event.

THURSDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2019: MIX CONTEST ITALY TOUR STARTS FROM PALERMO
The second edition of Mix Contest Italy Tour will officially start from the nH Hotel Palermo. The competing cocktail bars will be:
Mak Mixology with Matthew Bonandrini
Mazzini 30 Tavern with Flavio Giamporcaro
Kiosk – Mediterranean Bar & Restaurant with Marianna Guastella
Rita with Fabrizio Candino
Finger – Mixology, wine and more with Othello Insinna
Highlander Pub Piazza Armerina and Ancient Court of Bottari with Emilio Scroppo Richard Scroppo
The Sailor with Salvatore Maggio
Bohemian with Salvatore Longo
The gastronomic accompaniment will be taken care of by the chefs of the Hotel Restaurant.
Each stage will see the competition take place at the hotels of NH Hotel Group, official partner of the Mix Contest Italy Tour together with Velier.
The grand finale, which will decree the best cocktail bar in Italy, will be held in April 2020 at the nH Roma Villa Carpegna
