Carlo Alberto Reserve, historic Turin vermouth, renews its partnership with the Glocal Film Festival, a film festival that aims to enhance and promote the Piedmont region through cinematographic culture, now in its 20th edition.
Carlo Alberto Reserve, ultra premium version of the vermouth owned by Caribbean Company, available in the classic Red, White and Extra Dry references and produced following its ancient recipe, which involves the use of herbs macerated in unfiltered wines, has supported the Glocal Film Festival as Main Sponsor for several years. In fact, the company has always shared its values with the event, such as attention to the territory and the promotion of young talents, actively supporting initiatives related to the diffusion of art and cinema.
The Festival will be held from 11th to 15th March entirely in streaming on streeen.org, new platform expressly dedicated to festivals, reviews and independent and auteur cinema.
The festival's social media will also become tools to enjoy many exclusive contents, creating opportunities for discussion with directors, actors and producers who will present their works half an hour before their release on the streeen platform.
An edition that, in addition to proposing the finalists of the historic competitive sections Spazio Piemonte and Panoramica Doc, does not neglect the current events of this last year and introduces a section out of competition called “LOCK & SHORT”, dedicated to short films that tell the story of the pandemic we are experiencing and the lockdown within the walls of our homes.
In addition to the prizes for the winning films of the Festival competitions, Glocal awards, for the fourth year, the Prize 'Carlo Alberto Reserve', an award that aims to reward and valorize professionals in the film industry linked to the Piedmont region, who have distinguished themselves, at a national and international level, for the excellence of their work.
After the actor Flavio Bucci, awarded in the first edition, the actress Stefania Rocca who won in 2019 and the director Gianluca Maria Tavarelli, who triumphed in 2020, this year the Award will be given to Paola Bizarre, set designer who has collaborated with important directors of our cinematography, including Nanni Moretti on the set of “We have a Pope”, and Mazzacurati for the realization of “Riding the tiger.”
The winner, born in Rome but adopted by Turin, will be a guest on Monday 15 March at 7 pm, with director Silvio Soldini, in a meeting broadcast on the festival's Facebook page @Piemonte Movie Glocal Network, in which he will talk about his career and his collaboration with the director, in “The Commander and the Stork”, “Bread and Tulipani” and “Agata and the storm”.[:]
