[:it]Tio Pepe Challenge, brand Ambassador Joao Carlos Vicente in Milan for a masterclass on the occasion of the Mix Contest[:]

[:en]Sherry, the famous Spanish fortified wine of ancient tradition, has been experiencing a real golden age for some years. After a period in which the spotlight has illuminated other products, now its excellence has found the attention it deserves and even the world of mixology has turned its gaze on it.

Among Fino sherries, Tio Pepe is certainly the best known in the world. Produced with 100% Palomino grapes from Gonzalez Byass Winery In Jerez, Spain, it is appreciated both on its own and mixed, so much so that for seven years now the Tio Pepe Challenge has been held, an international competition that sees competing bartenders challenge each other with cocktails based on, precisely, Tio Pepe.

This is a very special competition, which does not only include the competition but is composed of three different moments: the first is a real training during which the participants have the opportunity to learn through masterclasses everything there is to know about sherry and its use in mixology. Then there are the various national competitions, followed by the great international final, which this year will be held in Jerez on May 13th.

The Italian final, on the other hand, is scheduled for April 20, and interested bartenders can still register and participate in the masterclass that Tio Pepe's European brand Ambassador, Joao Carlos Vicente, will hold at the NH Milano Touring on Thursday, February 27 during the Mix Contest, for which he will then sit on the jury. A double event not to be missed for all industry professionals and mixology enthusiasts: at 5 pm the masterclass, at 7:30 pm the great Mix Contest competition that will see some of the most talented bartenders in Milan compete with their best mixes.[:]
