[:en]The news is not very fresh but probably has not yet had the prominence it deserves: on September 20th Ziggy's opened in London, a cocktail bar entirely dedicated to David Bowie, who passed away almost 3 years ago but has never been forgotten. The name Ziggy's is already a clear reference to Ziggy Stardust, a famous song by the British singer-songwriter who is now celebrated in this fascinating venue inside the Hotel Café Royal on Regent Street. Even the location was not chosen by chance, because it was right there that Bowie organized the famous "last supper" to celebrate the retirement of his alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust, in the presence of some of the most beloved voices of this and the last century: Lou Reed, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, just to name a few.
Well, in this place full of history and symbolism, everything speaks of Bowie, from the jukebox that plays exclusively the Thin White Duke's songs to the furnishings, which include hundreds of photos of the artist on the walls and references to the times when he told us about the world with his music.
As if that wasn't enough (but we know you were wondering that from the beginning) the drink list is full of cocktails inspired, in name and ingredients, by David Bowie, including revisited classics, signatures and some of the drinks actually loved by the singer when he was alive. In particular, the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars to give its name to a good part of the list, paying homage to what in a certain sense was Bowie's consecration and which today lives again in liquid form in a place that, as music lovers, you cannot miss![:]
