Come il nome d’arte del fumettista giapponese di Lupin III. Questo street bar, aperto a giugno 2021 nella periferia di Bari, è un connubio tra il mondo asiatico e quello occidentale, rivolto a un target prettamente giovanile. Le pareti sono completamente nere, illuminate qua e là da alcuni neon rossi che creano atmosfera, così come le lanterne rosse presenti sul banco. Al bar manager Mauro Ruggiero, il compito di mettere a punto un’offerta capace di accontentare sia i coperti dell’unica sala interna che quelli del dehors. In drink list vi è spazio per poche scelte, che si suddividono nelle due macro categorie di punch - originali e che qui non mancano mai - e cocktail, che intercettano tutti i palati possibili. Ogni scelta si caratterizza per la semplicità, per il richiamo orientale nei gusti - vedi la presenza di zenzero e ginseng - e per l’ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. La grande ricerca non viene raccontata perché il contesto invita a divertirsi piuttosto che a riflettere. Nel menu non mancano twist on classic da ogni latitudine e, opzione più che mai originale, è possibile scegliere un drink a sorpresa, per i coraggiosi che vogliono essere stupiti oltre il dovuto.

The name is that of the Japanese comic artist that created Lupin III. This street bar opened in June 2021 on the outskirts of Bari perfectly combines the Eastern and Western worlds for a young target. The walls are entirely black, with some red neon lights here and there adding to the mood, like the red lanterns on the counter. Bar manager Marco Ruggiero has the task of creating an offer able to please clients both in the only interior room and the alfresco area. The drink list is short, divided into two macro-categories: punch – originals and never lacking here – and cocktails that aim to every possible palate. Every choice stands out for its simplicity, flavors calling back to the Far East – like ginseng and ginger – and excellent value for money. Nothing here speaks of the extensive research behind the cocktails: it’s a place to have fun, not to reflect. The menu includes twists on classics from all over the world, and the bravest clients can also choose the option of a “surprise drink.”
